Hello, I’m Isa!

Headshot of Isabella Vergara, a masters candidate from VCU's Brandcenter who studied strategy.

During my undergraduate psychology degree, I worked as a research assistant on a study exploring the impact of COVID on LGBTQ+ pet owners. This experience encompassed everything I value in strategy. Getting to talk to people and learning things I wouldn’t have otherwise had the chance to discover. There’s nothing like getting to hear the passion in people’s voices when they care about something deeply, whether it’s serious or silly.

I love bringing this mindset to my personal life by exploring new things. Some of my favorite pursuits include:

  • Learning to make Tinga, a Mexican dish my mom loves to make (We’re Peruvian)

  • Trying Muay Thai, a Thai martial art which really hurts your shins if you aren’t used to kicking things (like me)

  • Taking on increasingly complex puzzles (I draw the line at those solid color ones)
